Sorry it has been SO long...

It has been a year since I have posted anything on this blog. I was actually surprised it hadn't gone inactive since all of this time has passed.

A lot has happened since I posted last! Ron has been flying more and more and working so hard. His three week on three week off rotations have been incredibly hard. We miss each other so terribly much but we also recognize how blessed we are for Ron to have the position he has...

The biggest change since the last time I posted is that we are pregnant! I am actually almost 38 weeks and our little girl could come here any day now!

It has been a great pregnancy, no major problems or complications. I am still working, done soon though, thank goodness! My prenatal care has been with a group of midwives here in Calgary. I feel SO grateful that a spot for me was found with the midwives. There are not enough midwives here in Calgary for the amount of women who want their care. It was an answer to prayers when I was given a place at the practice.

Ron and I are thankful everyday that we are about to become parents! Ron is the cutest! He is so excited to meet his little girl! One of the loveliest moments that we have enjoyed together was our first ultrasound when I finally saw my baby on the monitor. Before this I was NOT convinced I was pregnant! I was just simply late and there were no other signs... Nope. I wasn't pregnant... but them we saw our little baby on the monitor, she moved her little hands and bounced all around... then it was real. When I heard her heartbeat on the monitor I fell in love! Tears of joy and thankfulness and love rolled down my cheeks... yay!!!!

We had another meeting with our doula, Krissy last night. We went over our birth plan and tons of questions were answered.

So here we are now. Ron is in another room right now studying... yet again... poor boy... and I am still in my PJ's watching Greys Anatomy on DVD with my little Sophie napping beside me.

OH! That's something else new! We have adopted the sweetest little dog who burrowed herself into our hearts. Ron and I can't imagine our home and lives without our little Yorkie, Sophie.

So I solemnly swear that I will be better with this blog and keep everyone up to date. However I am not good at adding photos and typing around the text and making it pretty... So... if any bloggers out there would like to give me advice and share their blogging expertise with me it would be greatly appreciated....
